Race has always and will remain one of the more prominent issues in society. Almost everyone is aware of the years of discrimination and restrictions of relationships, but today those restrictions have been modified. We have also heard the many negative discussions of black men dating or marrying more white women. We have even heard of black women now dating and marrying white men. Would you prefer people to date within their own race? Why is race a factor to consider in a relationship?

ReplyDeleteFrom a religious standpoint... (like I said) there's only one for everyone no matter what ethnic differences you may have. Second, I wish people would stop being so hung up on ethincity. To me, it's irrelevant. Being an African American female in my mid 20's I've have serious relationships with white men, asian men, black men, yellow men, purple men (lol)... but seriously, how bout we discuss if we would date an ex-con or a drug dealer let's not consider their ethinicty, let's look at their worth... I'm jus sayin.
To answer ur 2nd question, race is a factor, because society has engraved it into our minds that it HAS TO BE. Think about it, if nobody ever said a black man/woman dating a white man/woman was wrong, would we still think it's wrong? Let's make up our OWN minds.
Im way ahead of you sarah with the question of worth..lol its coming dont worry
ReplyDeleteRace has nothing to do with a relationship. People confuse race with culture that could be associated with that race. Color is just a personal preference. It never bothered me. A man is a real man when he could participate in a healthy and happy relationship, his background (race wise) doesnt affect it. It is the way he was brought up and the environment he lived in.
